The TECHNOLOGY component examines how best to leverage and manage technology. The BLCN team will identify system requirements through the process improvement phases, analyze alternative software packages if applicable, and develop a governing structure suited to the organization’s needs.

BLCN uses an integrated method leveraging all four of the components to aid in package implementation, and / or legacy system changes. This method provides a framework for leveraging software capabilities, developing organization buy-in, and preparing for deployment. This integrated method is very effective for M&A business process integration, driving shared services and / or global process development.

The process methods link the system functionality with the related activity boxes directly on the process map. This effectively allows the teams to perform a “wall walk through” of the process before investing time and resources into the configuration / changes of the software. This mapped linkage is also an excellent communication tool.

Lessons Learned Workshop: Companies perform many internal business improvement projects, product / service releases, internal programs, merger and acquisitions and marketing programs, but don’t capitalize on valuable lessons learned from the implementation of those projects. The BLCN Lessons Learned Workshop (LLW) is an approach to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of project implementations with an emphasis on identifying, sharing and implementing ways in which these projects may be improved. The LLW is a one-day effort facilitated by two BLCN consultants. The audience consists of 8 –10 key individuals from the project. The facilitated session will take approximately three hours in the morning with a short feedback / review session later that afternoon.
